Mr. Christopher Charles Chircop age 67 of Emerald Pond Drive Blairsville passed away at his home on Wednesday May 18, 2016 following an extended illness.

Christopher was born on Oct. 29, 1948 in Detroit, MI., the son of the late Lawrence Chircop and the late Kathleen Couch Chircop. He was a member of the Teamsters Local # 79 for over forty years. Welding was his specialty. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and also two brothers,Richard and Lawrence Chircop. Christopher was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Christopher are his loving wife and best friend of twenty three years, Diane Crowley Chircop of Blairsville, five children, Christopher Chircop of Alachua, FL., Shannon Overa of Lehigh Acres, FL., April Dinsmore of Romeo, MI., Theresa (Corey) Hansen, Michael Reed all of Naples, FL., one sister, Bernadette Binek of Romeo, MI., one brother, Mark Chircop of New Port Richey, FL., six grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held in Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Regency Hospice of Hiawassee in Christopher’s memory.
