Mr. Richard David Tully age 77 of Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday June 28, 2016 following an extended illness. Mr. Tully was born on April 27, 1939 in Youngstown, OH, the son of the late Elmer Tully and the late Flora Snyder Tully. Richard retired in 1983 from the City of St. Petersburg Fire Department after many years of service, where he also proudly served as Union President of Local 747. He loved fishing, making fishing lures, restoring Lionel trains and old lanterns. He was a loving husband, brother and uncle. Richard was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Richard are his loving wife and best friend of thirty seven years, Susan Speck Tully of Blairsville, one sister, Nancy Thomas of Inverness, FL., niece, Tina Wiesen of Lecanto, FL., nephews, Bruce Thomas of Inverness, James and Jennifer Thomas of Poulsbo, WA., great nephews, David Wiesen of Lecanto, Alex Wiesen of Charlotte, NC, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American cancer Society or to Local Union 747 St. Petersburg Fire Department in Richard’s memory.
