Mrs. Anna Ray Foster age 85 of Kimsey St. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Sunday July 24, 2016 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Foster was born on August 5, 1930 in Fairmount, GA., the daughter of the late William T. Mahan and the late Verna Ray Mahan. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Foster in 1975, a grandson, Jamey Green in 1990 and two brothers, Sid and Tom Mahan. Mrs. Foster was a member of Blairsville First Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Foster are son, Frank Pack, daughter, Kathy Green, son and daughter in law, Charles and Shirley Garrett, son and daughter in law, Sid and Barbara Garrett, daughter Anita English all of Blairsville, eight grandchildren, Stacey Green, Kevin Green, Terri Garrett, Barry Garrett, Jessica Tate, Brittany Pack, Casey English and Bryan English, eight great grandchildren, Chelsea, Tasha, Trisha, Eadi Mae, Felicity, Trinity and Dylan, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 11:00 am from the First Baptist Church Rock Chapel with the Rev. Tony Black officiating. Special music will be presented by Greg Huskins, Dwayne and Sandy Carringer. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Kevin Green, Casey English, Bryan English, Butch Garrett, Sid Garrett and Frank Pack. Interment will follow in the Union Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
