Mr. Charles Wayne Everett age 64 of Everett Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday July 26, 2016 following an extended illness. Mr. Everett was born on May 28, 1952 in Young Harris, GA., the son of the late Grayson Everett and the late Bobbi Garrett Everett. Wayne was a lifelong resident of Union County. He was a loving husband, father and brother. Wayne was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Wayne are his loving wife and best friend of twenty four years, Jannie Jones Everett of Blairsville, two sons, Jonathan Everett and Derek Everett of Blairsville, one daughter, Jessica Everett and her fiancé, Michael Jewett of Boise, ID., two sisters and one brother in law, Barbara and Charlie Free of Blairsville, Betty Bishop of Fayetteville, GA., many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. A eulogy will be given by Mack Mason. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Mack Mason, Richard Dyer, Michael Thompson, Harry Wilson, Jerry Everett and Bryan Mason. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the U.K.S. and R.P.M./ Panthers. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Waynes’s son, Jonathan’s education fund c/o United Community Bank. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
