Annette Gibbs, age 45, of Blairsville, GA formerly of Stuart, Fla. passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 27, 2016 at Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Annette was born November 8, 1970 in Charleston, SC to James & Sharon Jones Rhodes. Mrs. Gibbs had lived in Blairsville since 2010 after moving from Stuart, Fla. She loved flowers, gardening, and being in the outdoors. Annette was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gibbs who passed away in 2003. Mrs. Gibbs was of the Catholic Faith.

Annette is survived by her parents, James & Sharon Jones Rhodes of Blairsville, two daughters, Samantha Ringler of Blairsville, and Melanie Gibbs of Hayesville, NC, one son Brian Rhodes of Blairsville, one brother, James Rhodes of Blairsville, and two grandchildren, Jaqueline Ringler & Rex Rogers both of Blairsville.

The family has planned a private memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Union County Humane Society in Annette’s memory.
