Mrs. Sue F. Goines age 87 of Blairsville peacefully passed away Monday August 15, 2016 at Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Sue was born on June 26, 1929 in Milton GA, the daughter of the late Jessie Olan Fowler and Hattie Grace Nix Fowler. Sue was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved collecting angels, making bows, and especially enjoyed decorating Christmas packages for her loved ones. Sue was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Blairsville.

Surviving Mrs. Goines are her husband of 64 years, Henry L. Goines of Blairsville, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Jeff Bagley of Blairsville, son and daughter-in-law Steve and Stana Goines of Blairsville, son David Goines of Ashville NC, son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Rebecca Goines of Register GA, brother and sister-in-law Paul and Ruthann Fowler of Knoxville TN, sister and brother-in-law Sarah Dorcas and Max Hardison of Blairsville, grandchildren Brett Owenby, Julie Owenby Collins, Stephanie Auton, Alicia Payne, great grandchildren Grace Collins, Braxton Auton, Hunter Payne, Hayden Payne, and Holden Payne, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 18, 2016 at the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00PM, with Myron Turner officiating. The family will receive friends and family at Mountain View Funeral Home on Thursday August 18, 2016 between 2-3:00 PM. A private interment will take place on Thursday August 18, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton GA. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
