Mr. Rex Allen Weaver age 55 of V. Harkins Rd. Blairsville went home to be with Lord on Sunday 11, 2016 in the Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA. following a brief illness. Rex was born on Nov. 27, 1960 in Blairsville, GA., the son of the late Clarence Ausburn Weaver and the late Mae Dell Harkins Weaver. Rex was a 1979 graduate of Union County High School and later received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Resources Administration. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He loved motorcycles, horseback riding and was very artistic. He was great working on small engines. Rex was a loving brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a brother, Thomas Jefferson Clemmons in 1986. Rex was a born again Christian who loved the Lord. Rex was a member of the Owltown Church of God.

Surviving Mr. Weaver are three sisters and one brother in law, Glenda Weaver of Blairsville, Cindy and Tony Betz of Blairsville, Gale Dixon of Blairsville, two brothers and one sister in law, Dale Weaver of Cooksville, TN., Larry and Vicki Clemmons of Morganton, nieces and nephews, Kenneth, Michelle, Marcia, Chad and Mark Clemmons, Michael White, Amber Ray, Kelly Henderson, William Ruse, Natasha, Bryan and Jodi Rooker and Jennifer Weaver, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 15, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Robert Hughes officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jeff Ray, Bryan Rooker and Tony Betz. Interment will follow in the Owltown Church of God Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
