Mr. Leroy Bernard Davis age 86 of Blairsville passed away at his home on Friday September 23, 2016 following an extended illness. Mr. Davis was born on August 13, 1930 in Evanston, IL., the son of the late Leroy J. Davis and the late Marguerite Houck Davis. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, Chicago style hotdogs and the North George Mountains. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Davis and a sister, Barbara Krug. Mr. Davis was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Mr. Davis are his loving wife and best friend of sixty one years, Jenny Davis of Blairsville, two sons, Steven Davis of Crystal Lake, IL., Jeffrey Davis of Phoenix, AZ., one daughter and son in law, Julie and Thomas Bowman of Scottsdale, AZ., two sisters, Rosalee J. Bradley of Sparta, IL., Marguerite C. Davis of Wauconda, IL., Five grandchildren, Katie Bowman, Leanna Bowman, Emily Davis, Jonathan Davis and Ethan Davis, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Union County Humane Society Mtn. Shelter in memory of Mr. Davis. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
