Mr. Paul Roger Green age 71 of Dalton formerly of Murphy passed away peacefully at his home on Monday October 3, 2016 following a brief illness. Mr. Green was born on August 19, 1945 in Murphy, NC., the son of the late Andrew Green and the late Marie Sneed Green. Paul was a loving father, brother and grandfather. He was a member of the Tilton # 291 Masonic Lodge and was a Third Degree Master Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Marie Green, brothers, Larry, Mickey, Junior, Daniel and Jerry Green, sisters, Mary Crawford and Dot Sanders and a son, Tony D. Green. Mr. Green was a member of West View Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Green are one daughter and son in law, Cynthia and Tracey Trantham of Jackson, GA., two sons and daughters in law, David and Nicole Green of Blairsville, Mickey and Tisa Green of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA., one sister and brother in law, Jane and David Kidd of Murphy, nine grandchildren, Maria Webb, Amanda Green, Madison Trantham, Kayla Green, Christopher Whittemore, Catherine Nelson, Zack Green, Chloe Green and Whitney Villafan, several great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brent Chatham and Rev. Tommy Brown officiating. Special music will be presented by Sarah Chapman. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Christopher Whittemore, Jason Webb, Dewayne Green, John Cain, Patrick Cain and Mike Ellis. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeff Crain conducting Masonic Rites. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 pm.
