Mrs. Martha Standridge Iannone age 84 of Blairsville formerly of Morganton, passed away peacefully on Friday November 4, 2016 in the North East Ga Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Iannone was born on May 4, 1932 in Newton, GA., the daughter of the late Jolly Robert Standridge and the late Annie Lee Walraven Standridge. She was a veteran of the US Navy of the Korean War. She retired from Southern Bell after many years of service. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Robert Iannone in 1969 and by three sisters, Ruby M. Head, Cora Grace Standridge and Susie Wilson, two brothers, Robert Lee and Walter Earl Standridge. Martha was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Martha attended the North Mt. Zion Church of God.

Surviving Mrs. Iannone are two daughters Tina Iannone of Senaca, SC., Mary Beth Iannone of Georgia, four grandchildren, Robert Tedford, Randy Tedford, Martha Ann Barill and Sidney Marie Barill, two great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday Nov.6, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Rabun Wilson officiating. Special music will be presented by Ryan Wilson. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: James Wilson, Johnny Jenson, Gregory Wilson, Daniel Brooks, Jeremiah Wilson, and Randy Tedford. Interment will follow in the Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Martha’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5-8:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
