Mrs. Katherine Leta Mosley age 77 of Blairsville passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday December 18, 2016 following an extended illness. Mrs. Mosley was born on Sept. 10, 1939 in Union County, the daughter of the late James Earl Patterson and the late Dena Juanita King Patterson. She was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. Kathy loved doing yard work and growing flowers. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Mosley in 2004, her son, Michael Mosley in 2012, a grandson, Nathan Womack and a brother, Jimmy Patterson. Mrs. Mosley was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Mosley are one daughter, Debra Womack of Souder Town, PA., one son and daughter in law, Curtis and Janie Mosley of Epworth, GA., one brother and sister in law, Gerald and Beth Patterson of Blairsville, five sisters and three brothers in law, Anita Bryson of Hiawassee, Phyllis and Rev. Guy Wayne Shook of Blairsville, Barbara Moss of Hayesville, Martha and Rev. Wayne Matheson of Hayesville, Pat and Bud Ledbetter of Blairsville, six grandchildren, Mitch, Michaela, Matthew, Catie, William and Emily, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Emory Alexander officiating. Special music will be presented by Lena Thompson, Rhonda Mason, Daniel Moss and Larissa Price. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Daniel Moss, Cooper Lance, Charlie Trulove, Gerald Patterson, Wayne Matheson and Brandon Matheson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Nichols, Dwight Mason and Ed Bolle. Interment will follow in the Antoich Baptist Church Cemetery where she will rest next to her beloved husband, Bill. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
