Mrs. Loreane J. Henson age 80 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness. Mrs. Henson was born on April 20, 1936 in Union County, the daughter of the late Lonnie Bingham and the late Zellie Anderson Bingham. Loreane enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and camping. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Grover Jones and L.D. Henson, and three daughters, Ruth Cheek, Sandra Lazano and Sarah Jones. Mrs. Henson was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Henson are eight children, Glenda Tanner of Blairsville, Faye (Bryson) Thomas of Morganton, Dianne (Roger) Allen of Blairsville, Brenda (Don) Baker of Morganton, Linda Jones of Morganton, Liz (Kenneth) West of Blairsville, Alfred (Sandra) Jones, Blake (Nora) Jones all of Blairsville, son in law, Julio Lazano of Morganton, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, special caregivers, Sammy Patterson, Gail Burnett and Andrea Dyer, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Dec. 30, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Lee Tanner and Rev. David Whitener officiating. Special music will be presented by Evan Hughes. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Billy Howard, Travis Tanner, Derrick Tanner, Eddie Beaver, Dylan Tanner and Chris Newton. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Bryan Newton. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
