Mrs. Helen Denise Murphy age 62 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Murphy was born on July 8, 1954 in Chattanooga, TN., the daughter of the late Frances Joan Foster and Max Nesbet. Before her retirement she was employed with the Young Harris College.

Surviving Helen are her loving husband of forty years, Harold Murphy of Blairsville, two sons, Justin Murphy and fiancée, Kristin Shivers of Blairsville, Ian Murphy of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Rachel and Kenny Densmore of Chatsworth, GA., father Max Nesbit, two brothers and one sister in law, Robert and Susan Schuenemann of Winder, James Walls of Blue Ridge, special friends, Peggy Greene, Sonya Bell, Teresa Sampson, Brenda Garrett, Sandy McClure and Anita McGee, grandchildren, Josh Hayes, Brittany Hayes, Lucas Murphy, Aaron Hayes, Noah Densmore, Bella Densmore, Avalee Murphy, Zeke Densmore, Agustine Murphy, Asher Densmore, Ray Murphy, Shan Densmore, Christopher Densmore and Eli Vetten, two great grandchildren, Rebecca Densmore and Connor Partin, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 24, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Danny Cochran, Rev. Jeff Deaver and Rev. Scotty Jarrard officiating. Special music will be presented by the Young Harris College. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, David Smith, Oscar Thomas, Tom Stanley, Lucas Murphy, Noah Densmore, Phillip Sampson. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9:00 pm.
