Mr. William Hampton (Bill) age 54 of Blairsville, GA passed on Thursday morning March 16, 2017 at his home. Bill was born on May 20, 1962 of the late Minnie Pearl Lawson and Joseph Denton at Logan, W. VA. He was raised in Logan and moved to Murphy, NC in the 1980’s. Bill worked at Emerson Electric in Peachtree for several years before moving to Blairsville. Bill obtained his Contractors license doing building and remodeling. He was owner of Hampton Construction. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Hampton and Grandson Hudson Hunter.

Bill is survived by his wife, Junenell Graves Hampton, sons, Joshua Hampton and wife, Bridgette of Turtletown, TN., Isaiah Hampton and wife, Amanda Hampton of Morganton, GA., daughter, Rebekah Hampton and Daniel Worley of Blairsville and same as a son, Robert Churchill of Mineral Bluff, GA., and daughter in law Alisha Wheeler of Blairsville, five grandchildren, Lawson Hampton, Luke (Bubba) Hampton and Lilly Hampton of Blairsville, Toccoa Hampton and Ellie Hampton of Morganton, a beloved pet Rottweiler, “Poppy”, four brothers, Danny Hampton of Blairsville, Jerry Mitchell and Missy Blankenship of Logan, W. VA., Darrell Lawson of Wayne, W. VA., Patrick Lawson of Branchland, W. VA., one sister, Kimberly Lawson of Milton W. VA., several nieces and nephews also survive. Bill enjoyed working, spending time with his family and friends, fishing, flea markets, cold Bud Light and a good smoke. He was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Union County Humane Society Mtn. Shelter in Bill’s memory.
