Mrs. Joyce England Johns: Obituary
Obituaries March 27, 2017
Mrs. Johns was born in Athens, Georgia, a daughter of the late Robert Baxter England and the late Alma Elkins England. Joyce spent her childhood in Blairsville, and went to college at Young Harris College. She lived in Marietta, Georgia, where she taught elementary school. Mrs. Johns loved to cook, and her family will cherish the memories of Thanksgiving. Joyce kept a garden and she especially loved sunflowers! Her husband of 60 years, Ralph, passed away in January of this year; besides her parents, she also had been preceded in death by a sister, JoAnne Weber, and a brother, Robert B. England.
Left to treasure the memories of Joyce are her loving family members: Steve and his wife Bobbie; Wendy and her husband Billy; and Terri and her husband Fred; five grandchildren, whom Joyce loved so dearly: Matt, Katie, Abbey, Kelli, and Jackie; and one great granddaughter, Avah.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., to be held at Union Memory Gardens Cemetery with Jim Richardson officiating. Special music will be presented by Jeff Torbett.
