Mr. Jimmy Hugh Taylor age 76 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Thursday April 27. 2017 in the North East GA Medical Center surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Mr. Taylor was born on August 28, 1940 in Hiwassee, GA., the son of the late Vaughn Taylor and the late Maggie Berrong Taylor. Jimmy owned and operated Taylors Used Cars for many, many years. Jimmy loved talking and visiting family and friends. He truly loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a brother, Frankie Taylor. Jimmy attended the Owltown Church of God.

Surviving Mr. Taylor are one son, Junior Taylor, two daughters and one son in law, Diane and Rev. Michael Anderson, Nancy Smith all of Blairsville, one sister, Barbara Owenby of Cleveland, GA., five brothers and three sisters in law, Larry Taylor of Hapeville, Danny and Betty Taylor of Houston, TX., David Taylor of Duluth, Ronnie and Pam Taylor of Atlanta, Ricky and Patricia Taylor of Brenan, TX., five grandchildren, Joseph Anderson, Jessica Parker, Jacob Anderson, Chris Churchill, Noel Taylor, four great grandchildren, Brantley Churchill, Lillian Anderson, Cason and Hunter Brown, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday April 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Michael Anderson and Rev. Tommy Seay officiating. Special music will be presented by Jessica Parker and Cody Brendle. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Joseph and Jacob Anderson, Chris Churchill, Keith, Tony, Noel and Michael Taylor. Interment will follow in the Owltown the Church of God Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in memory of Jimmy. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
