Mr. Genarold DeLoach age 94 of Blairsville formerly of Plant City, FL. passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday May 21, 2017 surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Mr. DeLoach was born on Dec. 9, 1922 in Lyons, GA., the son of the late Hubert Alan DeLoach and the late Georgiann Brinson DeLoach. He was a veteran of the US Army of WWII. Genarold loved to be called Geronimo., which most people mistakenly called him. He enjoyed fishing, camping, western movies and especially sweet potatoes. Genarold was a member of Coosa United Methodist Church.
Surviving Mr. DeLoach one niece and two nephews, Sandra and Terry Entwistle of Blairsville, Audie and Myoung DeLoach of Hardyville, SC., Douglas and Jennifer DeLoach of Ft. Worth, TX., five great nephews, Barry and Michael Lollis, Lance and Jonathan DeLoach and Alan Meeks, five great nieces, Tammy Famal, Kathleen and Laura DeLoach, Amy Chumley and Kylee Peck, many great great nices, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Coosa United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Watkins and Rev. Mike Ayers officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Audie DeLoach, Barry Lollis, Joshua Grimes, Bill Doeing, Clayton Carter and Bill Foster. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with the North GA Honor Guard conducting Military Honors. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Coosa United Methodist Church for the Alzheimer’s Association in Mr. DeLoach’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8;00 PM. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
