Mrs. Rethel Mildred Twiss (Little), age 86, of Blairsville, GA passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, peacefully at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Twiss was born on December 23, 1930 in Blairsville GA, the daughter of the late Bulen Little and Doshia (Thompson) Little.

Surviving Mrs. Twiss are her loving husband of 64 years, James Twiss; son Michael Twiss and wife Karen of Murphy NC; daughter Janet Twiss of Blairsville GA, and granddaughter Katy L. Twiss of Murphy NC; Her sisters Hazel (Jack) Halter of Carrolton OH, Janice (Bob) Parr of Columbus OH, Jerrie Crisp of Culberson NC, Frankie (Allen) Medford of Blairsville, GA, Frances (Don) Harris of Athens, GA, Billie (Larry) Colson of Cartersville, Ga. Many other friends and relatives also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Twiss will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be Monday May 29 from 6pm until 8pm. Friends and relatives may drop in at Mountain View Tuesday at any time up to the time of the service for viewing. The service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ronnie Crisp, Rev. Jerry Karnes, and Rev. Tony Black officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Mrs. Twiss’ memory.
