Mr. Charles David Astin age 64 of Naples, FL., formerly of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 6, 2017 in Naples following a brief illness. David was born on August 7, 1952 in Mobile, AL., the son of the late Charles Henry Astin and the late Mary Helen Mask Astin. David loved car shows and classic cars. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. David was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Mr. Astin are his loving partner, Kathy Hernandez of Naples, FL.,two daughters and sons in law, Heather and Johnny McClure of Blairsville, Lisa and Ricky Arrowood of Hiawassee, two stepdaughters, Jennifer and Paul Reed of Cape Coral, FL., Chrissy White of Naples, one stepson, Armando and Jina Hernandez of Naples, two sisters and brothers in law, Vickie and John Steadman of Bay Minette, AL., Rita and Barry Fredrickson of Sharpsburg, GA., one brother, Donnie Astin of Douglasville, GA., twelve grandchildren, Kaylee and Keaton Mulkey, Lexis and Dylan McClure, Courtney and Catlin Arrowood, Micah, Damon and Caleb Smith, Lilly Jo and Xavi Hernandez and Alicia White, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 9, 2017 at 10:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Brondy Davis officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Johnny McClure, Ricky Arrowood, Wayne Womack, Jason Hager, John Steadman and Duke Scroggs. Interment and graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm from the Holly Hills Cemetery in Fairburn, GA. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Friday from 8:30-10:00 am.
