Mr. Edgar Harrison Lee age 50 of Blairsville passed away peacefully Surrounded by his loving family on Thursday June 29, 2017 in the Erlanger Hospital following a brief illness. Edgar was born on March 20, 1967 in Union County, the son of the late Lawrence Harrison Lee and the late Maebell Taylor Lee. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He had been owner and operator of Lee’s Roofing for over twenty eight years. Edgar loved camping, gardening and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Edgar was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Edgar are his loving wife and best friend of twenty eight years, Michelle McClure Lee of Blairsville, three daughters and one son, Ashley and Adam Irvin (son in law), Aaron Lee, Amy Lee, April Lee all of Blairsville, three sisters and brothers in law, Kathy and Homer Hunter of Morganton, Norma Jean and B.L. Anderson, Melissa and Stevie Abercrombie all of Blairsville, four brothers and two sisters in law, William and Cathy Lee, Wendall Lee, Tony and Kathy Lee and Jason Lee all of Blairsville, four grandchildren, Ava and Kevin Irvin, Kira Lee and Skylar Palmer, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Danny White and Rev. Richard Helms officiating. Special music will be presented by the New Liberty Baptist Church Choir. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Trent Hunter, Sam and Robert Guy, Tony Lee, Stevie Abercrombie and Ronald Dunn. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Edgar’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
