Mr. William “Bill” Caswell age 88 of Blairsville passed away on Monday July 24, 2017 at his home with his loving wife by his side following an extended illness. Mr. Caswell was born on June 19, 1929 in Baltimore, MD., the son of the late William M. Caswell Sr. and the late Elizabeth Bohnenberg Caswell. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Korean War. William was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid model ship builder and loved woodworking. He could fix almost anything. He was served as an Engineer for Lockheed Martin for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a sister, Doris Barto. Mr. Caswell was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Mr. Caswell are his loving wife and best friend of fifty three years, Joan Marie Griffith Caswell of Blairsville, two brothers and one sister in law, Richard and Barbara Caswell of Mobile, AL., Robert Caswell of Bel Air, MD., two grandchildren, Michael William Fox and Matthew Garcia, several great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 27, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Holly Hills Cemetery with the North Georgia Honor Guard conducting military honors. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family request that donations may be made to your church or to a favorite charity of your choice in Mr. Caswell’s memory. The family will meet with friends following the services at the cemetery. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
