Mary Frances Bright went to meet our Father which art in heaven on Thursday July 27, 2017 and along His side awaits her mother Flora Arizona Smith Bright and father Luther Daniel Bright and three sisters – Annie Bright, Bertha Bright Jones, and Billie Sue Bright Thomas. Frances was born in the community of Tusquittee, Clay County N.C. January 27, 1942 but she lived most of her life in Union County GA. Frances lived a quiet and private life. She had an interest in flowers, gardening, and quilting. She and her mother handmade quilts for every family member, but her greatest interest was her family history, which she was very proud of, the “Cherokee Indian Heritage”.

Leaving behind are her three brothers Bobby Bright of Blairsville GA, Riley Bright and sister-in-law Susie of Blairsville GA, and Danny Bright and sister-in-law Barbara of Morganton GA. Also leaving behind are her twelve nieces and nephews Glenda and Larry Davis Blairsville GA, Wanda Jones, Blairsville GA, Eland and Bobbie Jones, Blairsville, Bobby Joe and Melinda Bright, Blairsville, Mary Ann and Franklin Carney, Blairsville, Russell and Angie Thomas, Morganton, Roger and Deana Thomas, Morganton, Ricky and Christie Thomas, Morganton, Jenny Lynn Cheatham, Morganton, Lisa Bright, North Carolina, Jackie and Thor Myers, New Jersey, and David and Dee Bright, Florida. Also surviving Ms. Frances are her twenty-three great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Randolph Jones officiating. Special music will be presented by Randolph Jones, Brit Jones and Andrea Thomas. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Roger & Casey Thomas, Eland Jones, Bobby Joe Bright, Ricky Thomas and Darren Jones. Interment will follow in the Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
