Mr. Glen Edward McDonough age 78 of Mineral Bluff passed away peacefully at his home on August 22, following an extended illness.

Mr. McDonough was born on Dec. 17, 1938 in Kingston, NY., the son of the late Edward McDonough and the late Rita Sottile McDonough. Glen retired with I.B.M. after thirty five years of “playing computer”. He was passionate about travel, food, wine and his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and also a brother, Gerry McDonough.

Surviving Mr. McDonough are his loving wife and best friend of thirty six years, Linda McDonough of Mineral Bluff, GA., one daughter and son in law, Pamela and Curtis Franklin of Kennesaw, GA., three sons and two daughters in law, Mike McDonough of Marietta, John and Katie Quigley of Williamsburg, VA., Mark and Amy Quigley of Fairfax, VA., seven grandchildren, Matthew and Stephanie Franklin, Ian, Maddie, John, Catherine and Tommy Quigley, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family request that donations may be made to the Fannin County Friends of the Library in Glen’s memory.
