Union County vs East Hall Varsity Softball

The Lady Panthers battled against the Lady Vikings yesterday evening, however, their team total of 10 hits and one homerun were not enough to take home a win.  The Lady Panthers are now 1-5 overall and 1-2 in Region.  
The game remained scoreless through the first inning.  Panthers starter Jillian Lawn held strong until the top of the second when two singles, a walk and an overthrow caused a 3-0 Vikings lead.  

Back up to the plate, the Panthers were able to put 2 more on the board against Vikings pitcher Banks, making it 3-2 in the bottom of the second. Aubree Pack (SNG), Ellie Garrison (SNG) and Katelynn Hodges (DBL).  

With intentions of advancing the run deficit, the Vikings put up six more runs through the top of the sixth.  This series of hits for the Vikings gave them a 9-2 advantage over the Panthers.

Panthers Ellie Garrison determined to battle back against the Vikings showed her explosive power with a two-run HOMERUN over the center field wall in the bottom of the sixth!

Neither team put up anymore on the board and the final score remained 9-4 through a full seven innings.  Today, August 23, 2017 both the JV and Varsity Lady Panthers will take on White County in White County.  JV begins at 4:30 PM and Varsity is set to start at 5:55 PM.  See you there!
