Obituaries August 24, 2017
Timothy Richard Little, age 59, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2017.
He leaves behind Lisa Dutton Little, his loving wife of 37 years. Tim was the only child of the late James and Mary Seay Little of Lawrenceville and the son-in-law of the late Jesse and Virginia Dutton of Lawrenceville. A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Tim graduated from Central Gwinnett High School. Tim was mechanically inclined at a young age and worked many years for Mahlon Burson. During this time, he was given the nickname “Whistle.” Tim retired from Rockwell/Boeing after 21 years of service. After retirement, Tim enjoyed working in the tool rental department of Home Depot Snellville. He was given the opportunity to transfer to Home Depot Blairsville and establish their tool rental department. This relocation enabled Tim and Lisa to build their cabin in the North Georgia Mountains, where they have resided for the past 15 years. Tim was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing, being a member of several local bass clubs with Bill Rolader. Tim was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Blairsville, and previously a member of Sunrise Baptist Church, Lawrenceville. Growing up he attended First Christian Church, Lawrenceville.
Life changed for Tim and Lisa on December 16, 2012, when he was diagnosed with cancer. They spent many hours together seeking treatments in Gainesville and Atlanta. Tim was always welcomed home by his main coon cat, Shadow. Tim’s physicians and nurses often commented on his strength and courage.
Tim leaves behind a host of Seay aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tim was loved by his sister-in-laws, Linda Dutton Puckett, Laverne Dutton Rolader and husband Bill, and brother-in-law, Glenn Jesse Dutton. He enjoyed being Uncle Tim to his many nieces and nephews.
