Mr. William Spencer Wiley age 87 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Monday Sept. 4, 2017 in the Kennestone Hospital .

Mr. Wiley was born on Oct. 22, 1929 in Newport, TN., the son of the late John Spencer Wiley Sr. and the late Rachel Wiley. William was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing in his spare time and traveling with his wife Joan. He was known to be able to fix anything. William was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wiley in 2016 and a brother, Edward Wiley. Mr. Wiley was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mr. Wiley are his loving wife of sixty years, Joan Pomeroy Wiley of Blairsville, one son and daughter in law, Scott and Ronette Wiley of Richfield Springs, NY., one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Brook Wilkens of Westfield, IN., one sister, Jean Wright of Wellaka, FL., four grandchildren, Taylor Wilkens, Madison, Rachel and Emma Wiley, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday Sept.9, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Burgess and Rev. Stan Wallace officiating. Special music will be presented by Jeff Bauman and Keith Defour. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Cast-A-Way Critters or to the MAC in Mr. Wiley’s memory.
