Mr. Bobby Gene Banks age 85 of Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife by his side on Saturday November 4, 2017 following an extended illness.

Mr. Banks was born on August 29, 1932 in Monticello, GA., the son of the late Fletabell Bank. He was a veteran of the US Army of the Korean War. Bobby loved watching and going to the races. His family was the most important thing in his life other than his Lord. He was a true friend to many. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. Bobby was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Monroe, GA.

Surviving Mr. Banks are his loving wife and best friend of sixty one years, Maxine Davis Banks of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Barbara and Tony Velenti of Alpharetta, GA., one sister, Janice McMillan of Covington, one granddaughter, Sarah D. Streetman of Alpharetta, his favorite and loving dog, Winkle Do, many other relatives and friends also survive. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses of others who may be in need in Bobby’s memory.
