Mrs. Iva Mae Howden age 86 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Sunday November 5, 2017 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Howden was born on March 28, 1931 in Toledo, OH., the daughter of the late Oliver Comstock and the late Ada Barnes Comstock. Iva Me was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and also two sisters, Mary Aldini and Dee Dee Wandbeckler.

Surviving Mrs. Howden are her loving husband and best friend, Victor Herbert Howden of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Deborah and Chris Sherman of Doylestown, PA., two sons , Victor Scott Howden of Blairsville, Rob J. Howden of Ripon, WI., two grandchildren, Angela and Christine, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice in Mrs. Howden’s memory.
