Mr. Edgardo Gomez age 59 of Fern Point Drive Toccoa, GA. passed away peacefully on Friday March 30, 2018 in the Stephens County Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Gomez was born on May 8, 1958 in San Juan Puerto Rico, the son of Carmen Diaz and the late Nestor Gomez.  Edgardo had lived in New York for the past forty years and moved to Toccoa two years ago to be with his family. Egaro loved music, especially Salsa. He also enjoyed basketball and loved collecting shoes. He was a loving and caring son, brother and uncle.

Surviving Mr. Gomez are his mother, Carmen Gomez of Toccoa, one sister and brother in law, Vilmarie and Phillip Nixon of Toccoa, three nephews, Felipe, Yaddiel  and  Ezra Nixon all of Toccoa, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice in Edgardo’s memory.
