Mr. Jack Charles Horne age 77 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 15, 2018 in the Clay County Care Center following an extended illness. Mr. Horne was born on March 20, 1941 in Blairsville, GA., the son of the late Winfred Roscoe Horne and the late Lena Kate Neal Horne. Jack was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a brother, Gerald Hugh Horne. Mr. Horne was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Horne are his loving wife and best friend of fifty four years, Barbara Horne of Blairsville,  one daughter, Rhonda Melton of Blairsville, two brothers and sisters in law, Howard and Jean Horne of Austell, James and Martha Horne of Blairsville, one sister, Patty King of Blairsville, one granddaughter, Maralana and Derek Bryson, three great grandchildren, Christina, Coilton and Ada, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on  Thursday May 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Underwood officiating. Special music will be presented by the Philadelphia Church Choir. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Derek Bryson, Kevin Gillispie, Dave and Dan Kuykendall, Ernie Soriero. Interment will follow in the  Meadow View Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the Philadelphia Baptist Church on Thursday from 11-1:00 pm..
