Michael Weslay Simmons

July 25, 1989 – November 20, 2018

Mr. Michael Wesley “Mex” Simmons age 29 of Fairview Rd. Andrews NC passed away at his residence on Tuesday November 20, 2018. Mr. Simmons was born on July 25, 1989 in Andrews NC, the son of Terry Simmons and Jeannie Sharp Simmons. Mex was a landscaper for several years. He was a member of the American Hunting Association and the NWTF. He loved hunting and fishing and could catch a fish out of a mud hole. He loved everyone, had many friends, and never met a stranger. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Simmons are his mother and stepfather Jeannie & Jake Buchanan, his father Terry Simmons, his grandmother Linda Simmons, his son Isaiah, brother and best friend Steven Simmons and  brother ,Ryan Simmons, sisters Amber and Madison Simmons, uncles Donnie and Chris Simmons and uncle Adrian Sharp, aunt Mandy Humphries, cousins Tony Sharp, Ashley Cochran, Holly Prather, Dakota Gibby, and Zakk Humphries.  Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday November 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Andrews NC with Pastor Bo Phillips and Pastor Dr. Jack Hollowell officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, John Speagle, Matthew McTaggart, Shawn Beiker, Ryan Bevins, Justin Streeter, John Gaither, Donnie Simmons, and Scott Douthitt.  In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses. Interment will follow in the Valley River Baptist Church cemetery in Andrews NC. The family will meet with friends at the church on Monday evening from 12:30-2:00 prior to the service hour.
