Mr. Howard Kenneth Atchley, age 86 of Blairsville, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23rd, 2018 at his home following an extended illness. Howard was born on May 26th, 1932 in Rome, GA., son of the late Howard Grover Atchley & Odell Jones. Mr. Atchley was a resident of Blairsville for the past twenty years. Mr. Atchley was a self-employed automobile salesman and was a member of the United States Air Force. Mr. Atchley was also of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Swafford; one sister, Faye Helton; one great grandson, Hudson Payne; and one son-in-law, Donny Collins.

Surviving Mr. Atchley are three children, Pam Collins of Blairsville, GA, Cindy Atchley of Blairsville,GA, Howard Kenneth Atchley II, of Umatilla, FL., three granddaughters Alicia Payne and Spouse Kevin Payne,  Stephanie Auton and spouse Josh Auton,  Anglia Atchley and Grandson Howard Kenneth Atchley. Five great grandchildren, Hunter Payne, Hayden Payne, Holden Payne, Braxton Auton and Kaydance Kaufan. Two sisters; Billie Parker of Pendleton, SC., and Teresa Harrison of Anderson, SC.            A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 26th 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Oconee Memorial Park Cemetery in Seneca, SC with the family officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers; Hunter Payne, Hayden Payne, Holden Payne, Braxton Auton, Kevin Payne, and Josh Auton. The family will be accepting flowers as well.
