Mr. Robert Thompson Atkinson, age 56 of Blairsville, GA passed away on Wednesday December 19, 2018 . Mr. Atkinson was born on November 25, 1962 in Wilson, NC the son of Robert Thompson Atkinson & Ann West Atkinson. Mr. Atkinson was previously a resident of Franklin, TN until he moved to Blairsville in 2002. He was the owner of Our Hometown Pharmacy in Blairsville, GA. He was of the Methodist faith; he also enjoyed camping, hiking, and flying.

Surviving Mr. Atkinson is his wife, Lisa Atkinson of Blairsville, GA; his parents, Robert and Ann Atkinson of Young Harris, two sons, Nicholas and Brian; four siblings, Grady Atkinson of Walker County, GA., Kenyan Atkinson of Commerce, GA., Paul Atkinson of Longmont, CO., and Camille Smith of Cumming, GA.

A Family Gathering will be held on Saturday December, 29 2018 from 2:30-5:30 at the North GA Technical College in Blairsville, GA with Rev. Bobby Bone officiating. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to any Parkinson Disease fund in Robert’s memory.
