Mrs. Helen Agatha Loos, age 98, of Woodstock, GA, formerly of Blairsville, GA and Live Oak, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept 21, 2019, surrounded by loving family. Helen was born on April 19, 1921 in Schenectady, NY to Micheal Joseph Navin and Ellen Bradley Navin, the middle one of their five daughters.  Helen lived life to the fullest and was an independent woman who travelled the world (with her children in tow), never met a stranger and was quick to help anyone in need. She was witty, clever and never ran out of things to talk about. She was greatly loved and will always be remembered. Helen was a born-again Christian and loved sharing the love of God. Everywhere she went she touched lives and made friends of all ages.

Helen was greeted in heaven by many friends and loved ones who preceded her in death, and is survived by five of her six children and their families, Frances Turner, MS, Susan Poe, CT, Linda Ruppert, GA,  Brenda Petropoulos and Martin Loos, FL, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews who loved her.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at Meadow View Cemetery in Blairsville, GA. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations  may be made to Helen’s favorite charity, The Salvation Army.
