Mr. Edwin Allan Laney age 59 of Mountain View Drive Jasper formerly of Ellijay passed away peacefully on Sunday October 20, 2019 in the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Laney was born on August 15, 1960 in Murphy, NC., the son of the late Pat Laney and the late Mildred Dockery Laney. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Laney was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Laney are one son and daughter in law, Dustin and Tammy McElwaney of Blue Ridge, two grandchildren, Dakota Laney and Connor McElwaney, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Mr. Laney’s memory.
