HARLEM, GA – The Union County volleyball squad earned a spot in the Class A/AA quarterfinals with a 3-0 win against Harlem on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
The victory, at Harlem, was by a 25-15, 25-23, 25-14 margin.
The Lady Panthers (15-19) were led by senior Adelia Pyle’s 11 kills. She also added two aces, a block and 13 digs in the win.
Pyle was followed by fellow senior Kait McCarter and sophomore Morgan Fussell, who had seven kills each in the match.
Fussell also had five blocked shots to lead Union County.
Sophomore Riley Allison tacked on four kills and two aces for the Lady Panthers.
Freshman Saylor Noe led the team with three aces, while junior libero Haley Noe added two.
Allison was third on the team with 12 digs in the match, while Haley Noe led the team with 14.
Sophomore Maci Williams was the team-leader in assists with 10.
The victory set up a quarterfinal matchup with Region 7-A/AA champion Gordan Lee.
