Blairsville- The Union County Panthers baseball team has had a rocky season. Heading into their series with Riverside Military Academy last week, the Panthers had lost 6 straight games and were sitting at 2-14 on the year.

But, it just takes one series to turn around a whole season.

Union County swept Riverside Military Academy by scores of 12-2, 17-2, and 18-1, and then extended their win streak by defeating Towns County 18-6.

The offense has been on a tear for the Panthers clearly, as they have scored 12 or more runs over their 4 game win streak.

Thomas Dyer has been a big part of the explosive Panther offense, as he has driven in 9 runs in his previous 3 games. Logan Anderson, Tyler Loyd, and Lake Hughes have also been big contributors in helping Union get back on the right track.

The Panthers will have a tough schedule when they return from spring break, traveling to Towns County on Monday the 11th and then starting a 3 games series with region foe Rabun County on Tuesday.
