PRESS RELEASE – On Sunday March 24, 2024, Union County Deputies Austin Bradburn and Riley Norton, responded to the area of Highway 515 West and Highway 325 intersection, in reference to a call for service, which was dispatched as someone falling out of a moving vehicle.

It was determined later to be a medical call, in which a female, who was experiencing chest pain, had fallen out of a stopped vehicle and went into cardiac arrest.

The female had no pulse and stopped breathing. These Deputies arrived in less than five minutes, of being dispatched, and quickly began and maintained CPR for approximately ten minutes, until medical personnel arrived to relieve them.

The female regained a pulse shortly after medical personnel took over.

The last update we had was that the female was alive and in stable condition when she arrived at the hospital.

It is believed that the quick actions of both Deputies Bradburn and Norton saved the females’ life.

Sheriff Mack Mason and Major Shawn Dyer commends the lifesaving actions of Deputies Bradburn and Norton.
