Mrs. Brenda Nell Smith age 58 of Ridge Rd. Mineral Bluff passed away peacefully on Saturday May 7, 2016 in the Erlanger Hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Smith was born on Sept. 17, 1957 in Plant City, FL., the daughter of Harvey and Magoline Dunkin Beasley. She had lived in the Fannin Area for the past twenty five years. Brenda loved fishing, canning, gardening, making jelly and gem panning. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Brenda was a member of Harris Chapel Church.

Surviving Mrs. Smith are her loving husband and best friend of twenty nine years, Jerry Smith of Mineral Bluff, six children, Berea (Shane) Heatley of Atlanta, Misty Garrison, Jerry (Laurie) Smith Jr. all of Blairsville, Pamela (Mark) Downing, Jason Smith and Jamison Smith all of Tampa, one sister, Deborah Long of Mineral Bluff, three brothers and one sister in law, Jimmy (Cindy) Beasley of Morganton, Rodney and Joseph Beasley of Mineral Bluff, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 11 at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Hall officiating. Special music will be presented by Marty Rogers. Serving as pallbearers will be, Garrick and Corey Parks, Rodney, Jimmy, Craig and Montana Beasley. Internment will follow at the Harris Chapel Cemetery in Ranger N.C. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
