Mrs. Kathryn Levi age 96 of Cumming, GA formerly of Blairsville passed away on Thursday September 24, 2015 in the Pruitt Health Care of Blue Ridge following an extended illness. Mrs. Levi was born on April 3, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA., the daughter of the late Thomas Valintine Donovan and the late Irene Craig Donovan. She and her husband moved to Blairsville in 1976. Kathryn loved to read, cross stitching and crocheting. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J. Bartow Levi in 2004, a daughter, Rose Mary Westbrook in 1991, brothers, Tom and Craig, sisters, Edna, Margarett and Dorothy. Mrs. Levi attended Abundant Life Baptist Church in Cumming. Surviving Mrs. Levi are one son and daughter in law, Harold and Ellen Levi of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Dottie and Robert McQuaig of Cumming, one sister, Helen Mills of St. Petersburg, FL., nine grandchildren, Wendy (Russell) Walls, Brian (Amy) Levi, James ( Amanda) Levi, Laurie (Rob) Walsh, Linda (Richard) Regan, Peggie Sue (Lawrin) Jackson, Katie McQuaig, Robby (Maria) McQuaig and William McQuaig, seventeen great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Sunday Sept. 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Chad Underwood and Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Special music will be presented by Savannah Levi. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Brian Levi, James K. Levi, Russell Walls, Van Payne, Mike Bottinelli and William Walls. Honorary pallbearers are James A. Levi and Wesley Walls. Interment will follow in the Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery where she will rest next to her beloved husband Bartow. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family request that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Levi’s memory.
