REDDIN EDWARD LANGSTON of Blairsville, GA. September 30, 1927 – January 25, 2016 Reddin Edward Langston went home to Jesus peacefully on January 25. Born in Dunedin, Florida, Ed Langston was a 4th generation Floridian with proud ties to Dixie County, Steinhatchee, Jacksonville & Orlando. Many happy years were also lived in Dunwoody & Blairsville, GA. A 1952 graduate of the University of Florida, Ed proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and worked as an accountant with Southern Bell for 30 years. He was a southern gentleman committed to faith, family & service. Ed is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Dawson Langston, children David (Patti) Langston, Michael Langston & Karen (Evan) Langston Pardue; grandchildren Joseph Langston & Dawson Pardue and sister & brother-in-law Lillian & Richard Kerr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 3:00p, at First UMC of Union County in Blairsville, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Florida United Methodist Children’s Home or First United Methodist Church of Union County.
