Mr. Talmadge “Mud Cat” Eugene Greenway age 47 of Burton Mill Rd. Gainesville formerly of Blairsville passed away on Monday April 11, 2016 in the North East Ga. Medical Center following an extended illness.

Gene was born on Jan. 30, 1969 in Atlanta GA. the son of Priscilla Wilson Greenway and the late Sonny Greenway. Gene loved riding his Harley and loved his family, friends and brothers.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Owenby. Gene attended New Liberty Baptist Church.

Surviving Gene are his mother, Priscilla Coffey of Gainesville, his fiancée, Tracy Poole of Gainesville, two brothers and sisters in law, Rusty and Alicia Greenway of Blairsville, Jason and Dawn Greenway of Clermont, two sisters and one brother in law, Tonya and David Long of Hayesville, Carlena Owenby and her fiancé, Edgar McGuire of iowa City, IA., nieces and nephews, C.B., Canyon, Dakota, Levi Greenway, Peyton, Matthew and Emily Long, extended family, Hurvey “Pops” Davis, Melissa Davis, Haines Bennett, Jessica, Dallas and Madison Bright all of Gainesville, a host of friends, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 14, 2016 at 3:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Greenway and Rev. Danny White officiating. Special music will be presented by the New Liberty Church Choir. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
