Mr. Donald Clark Wintermute Sr. age 85 of Blairsville passed away suddenly at his home on Monday June 12, 2017. Mr. Wintermute was born on March 15, 1932 in Newark, OH and grew up in Miami FL. He was the son of the late Ernest Wintermute and the late Helen Crossley Wintermute. Don was a veteran of the US Navy in the Korean War where he served as the ships fire control radar operator. He then went on to make his life time career in the Aviation Industry. Don was very devoted to his family whom he loved dearly. His four children meant everything to him. Don loved Key Largo where he lived previously. He enjoyed music and growing orchids. Don was always out working around his property. When he met a stranger it wasn’t long until they were friends. He was always accommodating and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.

Surviving Don are his close friend and companion, Mary Burchnell of Blairsville, one daughter, Nita Wintermute of Blairsville, three sons and one daughter in law, Don Wintermute Jr. of Blairsville, Doug and Shari Wintermute of Cleveland, GA., Derek Wintermute of Acworth, GA., Three grandchildren, Brian, Laura and Melissa, many other relatives and friends also survive.
