First ever Get-Off-the-Grid Fest set to open in Blairsville

Blairsville, GA – The Get-Off-the-Grid Solar Expo & Sustainability Fair opens at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon, Aug. 18, 2017 at the Union County Arena off Hwy 515 west of Blairsville (Hemptown, GA). The festival will go through Sunday afternoon, August 20.

According to the brochure, the “purpose of the Get-Off-the-Grid Fest is to create a space within which folks who have the interest and intention to become energy self-sufficient can meet up with those who have the skills and technical expertise to help make it happen”.

Stage being setup.

The Fest will feature live music throughout the event performed by 21 different groups and singers, food, dancing, speakers on various off-grid subjects like symbiotic farming, vendors of off-grid products like solar panels, and a host of other most interesting exhibits.

Indoor vendors.

A full weekend pass is $30 and with that comes a CD. It will be a grand time for the entire family.
