PRESS RELEASE- The UCHS Marching band recently competed in the Peach State Marching Competition, in Rome, Georgia. This competition is the longest continuously running marching band competition in the state of Georgia, attracting some of the best bands across Georgia and Alabama. Here are the results:
-Drum Major-Superior
Guard-Superior
Percussion-Superior
Band-Superior
-1st place band in class 2A (out of 6 bands)
-4th place overall, regardless of band size/classification, out of 20 bands, with a score of 94.16.
-Carruth/Shook Award Recipient for
Outstanding Musical Performance in A, AA Classification
-David Walters Grand Champion Award A-AA
