Game 3 Recap-
Siera Burnette fired up the Union County Lady Panthers offense with a RBI double against an 0-1 count, giving Union a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
The fourth inning was where the Panthers bats came alive, as they tacked on 3 more runs thanks to some errors by Pace Academy and an RBI single from left fielder Ansley Collins.
Sierra Burnette was the winning pitcher for Union. She went 7 innings while only allowing one run on four hits and striking out one Pace Academy batter.
Union County will look to keep their bats hot in the sweet 16 this week against Toombs County, who is coming off an upset first round win over Oglethorpe County.
According to MaxPreps, Toombs County is currently ranked 11th in 2A in the state of Georgia, so the Panthers will have to play mistake free ball to advance to the Elite 8.
