Mrs. Jennette Gertrude Kelsey age 88 of  Blairsville passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 28, 2017 in the Union County Nursing Home with her loving husband by her side following an extended illness. Mrs. Kelsey was born on March 16, 1929 in Sparta, WI., the daughter of the late Sidney and Hattie Griffin. Jennette loved working with and serving people. She enjoyed dancing and doing the polka. Her family and her work was her life. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and two step sisters, Dorothy and an infant sister, three brothers, Keith, Donald and Harold Griffin. Mrs. Kelsey was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Kelsey are her loving husband of seventy years, Willard Kelsey of Blairsville, who lovingly always called her “His Bride”, two daughters and one son in law, Sandra and Sid Bennett of Young Harris, Sheila Norris of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., one sister, Alice Gray of Beloit, WI., sister in law, Loris Ann Griffin of West Salem, WI., two grandchildren, Todd and Jenny Page, Matthew and Sheli Carroll, five great grandchildren, Morgan and Alex Page, Logan, Lydia and Lenae Carroll, a forever granddaughter, Carol Rodriguez Enright, several nieces, nephews, sisters in law and brothers in law, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Wisconsin. Interment and graveside services will be held from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. at a later date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Union County Nursing Home Activities Dept. in memory of Mrs. Kelsey.
