Mrs. Carmen Verna Keith age 89 of Keith Rd. Blairsville passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2016 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Keith was born on May 9, 1926 in Union County, the daughter of the late Estus Everett and the late Maude Ellen Bracket Everett. She was a native and life long resident of Union County. She along with her sister owned and operated Rosa and Carmen Beauty Shop for over forty two years. She was a member of the Blairsville Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Carmen was a self taught Artist and Musician. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Keith in 1992, brother, Glen Everett and two sisters, Grapelle Everett and Mary Everett. Carmen was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. Surviving Mrs. Keith ate three daughters and one son in law, Bobbie Jean Wilson of Blairsville, Rosella Williams of Blairsville, Kathy and Steve Hill of Blairsville, five grandchildren, Robert Jordan, Regina Jordan, Angela Gail Patterson, John and Jessica Hill, and Michael Hill, five great grandchildren, Robert Curtis Jordan, Tara and Ethan Nolte, Kayla Marie and Brandon James Lloyd, many other relative and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday Jan. 8, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Providence United Methodist Church with Dr. John Kay and Rev. Jim Aiken officiating. Special music will be presented by Walter and Mary Mauney. Carmen will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10-11:00 am. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Robert Jordan, John, Michael and Steve Hill, Dean Everett and Tom Schuette. Interment will follow in the church cemetery where she will rest next to her beloved husband, Robert. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9:00 pm.
